Mosey collects nothing.

Mosey runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of its own. Nothing you do in Mosey leaves your computer.

Bluetooth

Mosey uses Bluetooth only to talk to the walking pad you chose during setup: to read its speed, incline, distance and — on pads that count footfalls — its step count, which is how Mosey knows someone is on the belt; and to start, stop and pace the belt. The step count is read once a second and used on the spot; it is not stored. The pad’s identifier is stored on your Mac so Mosey can find the same pad again. It is never transmitted anywhere.

What is stored on your Mac

Your first name, if you gave one; the identifier of your pad; whether you finished setup; and whether you chose the demo pad. All of it stays in your Mac’s application preferences and is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

If you buy anything inside Mosey, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. Mosey receives only a confirmation that the purchase belongs to this Mac and never sees payment details.
