Lots of companies are now building primitives for an economy where AI agents are the primary users instead of humans.

They're betting on an economy of AI coworkers.

1. AgentMail (@agentmail): so agents can have email accounts

2. AgentPhone (@tryagentphone): so agents can have phone numbers

3. Kapso (@andresmatte): so agents can have WhatsApp phone numbers

4. Daytona (@daytonaio) / E2B (@e2b): so agents can have their own computers

5. Browserbase (@browserbase) / Browser Use (@browser_use) / Hyperbrowser (@hyperbrowser): so agents can use web browsers

6. Firecrawl (@firecrawl): so agents can crawl the web without a browser

7. Mem0 (@mem0ai): so agents can remember things

8. Kite (@GoKiteAI) / Sponge (@PayspongeLabs) : so agents can pay for things.

9. Composio (@composio): so agents can use your SaaS tools

10. Orthogonal (@orthogonal_sh) so agents can access APIs easily

11. ElevenLabs (@ElevenLabs) / Vapi (@Vapi_AI) so agents can have a voice

12. Sixtyfour (@sixtyfourai) so agents can search for people and companies.

13. Exa (@ExaAILabs): so agents can search the web (Google doesn’t work for agents)

If you stitch all of these together, you get a digital coworker that looks more human than AI.

@shivsakhuja @agentmail @tryagentphone @grok can you make a comprehensive list of the agent-first apps and services mentioned in the parent and across the comments and sub-comments here?

@AmazonKindle I love, love, love every single Kindle I've ever bought.

And speed absolutely matters:

My latest one, an early 2025 Kindle Paperwhite, is so fast that I wound up reading Pratchett's 42-volume Discworld series in less than 12 months.

And yet, since buying my first Kindle, I still have one single feature request:

After I've continued reading a book on my Kindle
And I've then locked the screen
When I look at the lock screen
I want to see the current page that I had been reading
So that whenever I glance at my locked Kindle
I can quickly read a sentence or two of what I was reading
And pull myself back into continue reading that book
And keep my reading momentum
And finish more books sooner.

The "whenever I glance at my Kindle" happens relatively often and neither the book cover nor the default graphics help me keep momentum the way the "open last page" would.

Thank you for your consideration!

Alexis

Wow. I'm really stunned.

This is the worst iteration of Claude Code I've ever had.

And it's not that mid-day quality drop that you get in Europe when the US east coast boots up.

For several hours now. What?

And a day later, it all went back to great. Puzzled.

@SpringStreetNYC right now, I don't find a traditional repl very useful anymore, but that could all change (since things are changing lightning fast) and it could become useful again

Thank you!

I got the idea of nanoclaw having/being a REPL as I was reading your "Land Of Lisp" chapter on autonomously evolving the little "M" creatures.

I loved how, in your example, the biosphere's snapshots of 100 and 5.000.000 iterations kind of looked the same but then, looking at the "biomodalities" after those millions of rounds, we discover how two completely different species evolved!

This was SOOOOO cool. I felt like I was watching evolution happening live under a microscope.

@SpringStreetNYC Thanks for circling the response back even on a different site.

Writing hn comments is mostly like messages in a bottle, but it's cool to see some thoughts linger a bit longer.

Hm!

I had not ever thought of hn comments as "messages in a bottle".

That is a very apt observation.

Like the "all you can eat buffet" is also a really way to visualize.

And your "a million lobster kids", which is also fitting.

So, I have to say: I'm impressed. You're really good at metaphors, dude.

Which I would like to understand more about. Did you learn to write this way? Did you read specific books? What's the story?

My wife after casually teaching herself @claudeai Claude Cowork since Tuesday:

"I couldn't fall asleep last night because I realized I could almost completely let Claude Cowork do my taxes this year.
All I need to do is X, Y and then Z. Then send everything to the advisory.
I could be done with the whole thing in half a day."

As someone who builds software for our family office's tax advisory all day:

She is absolutely right.

Funny you should mention the overlords.

Just a moment ago, I wrote about switching to API-usage, "playing fair and by the rules" and still feeling conflicted about it:

And long story short, I personally feel better about myself by playing by (what I believe to be) fair rules.
And it's funny because does this really matter?
Do I, as the subscriber, really have to take into account how my actions affect the "feelings" of a "gazillion-dollar company" that I'm paying for a service? Is the "all you can eat" buffet analogy even true?

Long response but, I have mixed emtions about a lot of it, including my own decisions.

For me, a bunch of stuff came together at the same time:

Disclaimer:
a.) I was still using OpenClaw at this point (but the same happened with nanoclaw)
b.) I'm not affiliated with Anthropic in any way other than being a subscriber

During setup, I saw the option to use Claude Code. I figured... "Hey, I got the 90€ Max subscription and in one year, I've never reached its token limits. So, how bad could it be?"

So I chose to use my subscription auth option over plopping in an Anthropic API key. I'm thinking nothing of it. And then, you know, used it for a couple of days quiet heavily.

Shock 1: I looked at the stats and saw: I had burned through 18.4M tokens in one day. Eighteen. Million. Tokens. For basically configuring an agent to use WhatsApp and a cron job? See t.co/zs6VMJexpc for details.

I was like "wat."

Then I saw the "Anthropic officially bans using subscription auth for third party use" thread on HN. Somehow, I found TZubiri's "all you can eat buffet" analogy the most surprising:

A similar scenario would be if you go to an all you can eat buffet, you pay for a single person, but then you actually unload an army of little clones that start eating the whole buffet. Technically it was an all you can eat buffet and you paid the price right? Well no, come on, don't play dumb. - t.co/WMshusbl7n

Shock 2: Oh, that 90€/mo. plan (that has completely changed how I work) is heavily subsidized by Anthropic assuming fair-use.

Shock 3: And oh, without noticing, I had started carting off plate after plate after plate from the "all you can eat buffet" that assumes fair-use.

Shock 4: And ohhhhh shit, they could have unplugged my subscription because of all that.

All together, this threw me off and I tried to process it here: t.co/RJsaawzofc

So. For me it was all of these coincidences that really made me think about my part in the fair-use and decided that I would...

a.) rather keep my subscription intact
b.) start using the actual API
c.) keep an eye on cost
d.) make a conscious decision of cost vs. value a few weeks later

And long story short, I personally feel better about myself by playing by (what I believe to be) fair rules.

And it's funny because does this really matter?

I don't know and I'm still conflicted about it all.

What I do know is:

That I'm paying for my "fair-use" API-based nanoclaw assistant ~$2 per day which feels completely above board.

It costs an extra $10 (one-time) to add a new skill or improve the existing ones every few weeks. Again, above board.

I feel like I'm doing "the right thing" but I could totally be wrong, too!

Hey @Tomas_Zubiri !

I mentioned your "all you can eat" buffet comment from HN (t.co/WMshusbl7n) in a discussion about using subscription vs. API.

"A similar scenario would be if you go to an all you can eat buffet, you pay for a single person, but then you actually unload an army of little clones that start eating the whole buffet. Technically it was an all you can eat buffet and you paid the price right? Well no, come on, don't play dumb."

Interestingly, your HN comment seems to have gotten downvoted but I feel like you're on to something.

Not sure if you can see this, it's inside the nanoclaw group but, yeah, FYI:

I packaged up the "autoresearch" project into a new self-contained minimal repo if people would like to play over the weekend. It's basically nanochat LLM training core stripped down to a single-GPU, one file version of ~630 lines of code, then:

  • the human iterates on the prompt (.md)
  • the AI agent iterates on the training code (.py)

The goal is to engineer your agents to make the fastest research progress indefinitely and without any of your own involvement. In the image, every dot is a complete LLM training run that lasts exactly 5 minutes. The agent works in an autonomous loop on a git feature branch and accumulates git commits to the training script as it finds better settings (of lower validation loss by the end) of the neural network architecture, the optimizer, all the hyperparameters, etc. You can imagine comparing the research progress of different prompts, different agents, etc.

@SpringStreetNYC how can i see a dashboard like this for mine?

@beetclaw Hey! I have this directly in my Anthropomorphic platform reporting under "Usage"

Note, "platform" means that I have an API account with them, in parallel to my Claude subscription.

Platform: platform.anthropic.com

A few times now, in conversation with friends about AI, I found myself saying "...and that's why we need new vocabulary for all this"

And amazingly, people smarter than I, have started to do just that!

Here are my favorite new terms:

What's your favorite new word, term or way to describe what we're seeing?

PS: My first creation I'd love to add to the mix would be "AINXIETY" but it'd be okay if it didn't catch on.

Let's add: "@claudeai Claude Cowork could do all of that for me."

Okay, I was right in regards to my personal assistant(s) but I might be WRONG for orchestrating teams.

Because, yeah, this is hot.

Today I have multiple streams happening, with different agents/assistants, on different topics, across multiple platforms:

1. Claude Code agent + sub-agents that are refactoring, cleaning a personal project (Terminal)
2. Claude Code agent running on my nanoclaw VPS that helped me upgrade the assistant's Gmail/Calendar skill to Google's official CLI (Terminal + SSH)
3. Nano, my nanoclaw assistant who's currently scheduling a coffee chat with my friend's assistant via their own respective Gmail accounts (Telegram)
4. Horst, another friend's @openclaw assistant with whom I've developed a fun conversation around tech, debugging, cool ideas (WhatsApp)

The biggest surprise to me is that it's starting to feel natural and seamless.

Even with a dev background, I REALLY dig having had Claude Code for the onboarding and customization process.

I would have not even considered using CC for that, but it's the first time that I have a full-time CTO without having to be one myself.

Reddit has fallen.

Up until 3 weeks ago, the AI-to-human ratio was about 30/70.

Within the past 3 weeks, it skyrocketed to 90%.

I'll never go back.

Quoting @nikitabier · Feb 11, 2026

Prediction: In less than 90 days, all channels that we thought were safe from spam & automation will be so flooded that they will no longer be usable in any functional sense: iMessage, phone calls, Gmail.

And we will have no way to stop it.
