I'm seeing tons of commitment. Over long periods of time. To a single cause. In a team where you have to sync with others. While making complex stuff. This isn't easy in my opinion and you can't buy that with money.

OF COURSE I personally love the single-hacker legacies more: The early months of DHH making Rails single-handedly. Rich Hickey's initial 3-year tour-de-force for Clojure. Matz hand-crafting Ruby for almost 2 years back in 1998. And Guido van Rossum soloing on Python in 1990.

Looking at the origins and their people's stories, I've come to appreciate two Microsoft projects (Typescript and VSCode) because I can see how most of their "founders" are still knee-deep in it, ten years later. We can talk about salaries here, sure, but it's more than that: t.co/6geSITR1x3

@TryAstroApp Hey there! I can't seem to get past the login screen – double checked the req's:
✅ Configured ASA campaign group + ASC account
✅ Created app-specific password
✅ Got one app in the app store (as of today)
Not sure how to proceed, any pointers welcome!

Thank you @juanjovn for your inspiration! Happy (and proud tbh) I got my first little macOS app shipped to the App Store.

Had a daily itch at work, built it, tested it for 3 months and now you can use it too!

PS: Gave myself a 4/5 review with a few ideas for improvements :)
